Our goal is to bring professional-quality tools into everyday coffee experiences, helping every coffee lover brew with confidence and enjoyment.
Equal Coffee began in 2023 with the launch of the Equal Coffee Agtron Scale and the original Equal Coffee Filter. Since then, we have exhibited at SCAJ, Japan's largest specialty coffee exhibition, every year, connecting with coffee professionals, manufacturers, and enthusiasts from around the world.
These experiences have allowed us to discover innovative products, exchange ideas with the global coffee community, and continue expanding our carefully curated collection.
We don't simply sell coffee equipment—we search the world for coffee super tools: products that truly make a difference in quality, workflow, and the overall coffee experience.

Equal Coffee
DAICHI
Founder of Equal Coffee
Daichi's journey has never followed a conventional path.
As a student, he was passionate about soccer. During university, he worked more than twenty different part-time jobs while traveling throughout Japan and Europe by hitchhiking and backpacking. These experiences introduced him to people from all walks of life and shaped the curiosity and open-minded perspective that continue to define his work today.
His professional career began as a jazz musician. After studying music in the Netherlands, he received the Excellence Award at a national classical music competition in Japan at the age of 25. A year later, he entered the business world and became one of the top-performing sales professionals at a security equipment company, proving that creativity and discipline can coexist.
At 29, Daichi founded EXTENSION. Since then, he has built businesses across a wide range of fields, including artist management, nationwide and Asian concert tours, web design, brand strategy consulting, and architectural photography.
As a consultant, he has advised organizations ranging from one of Japan's largest insurance companies—with nearly 200 offices nationwide—to small independent businesses, helping them develop sustainable growth strategies and stronger brands.
In his thirties, backpacking once again became part of his life. His travels gradually led him to coffee-producing regions around the world, where he spent time with producers, roasters, and baristas. Those experiences inspired him to begin importing green coffee, roasting coffee, and exploring coffee from every perspective, from production to brewing.
One question eventually became the starting point for a new challenge:
"Could coffee be grown in Japan?"
To pursue that idea, Daichi joined a greenhouse coffee cultivation project on Japan's main island as a consultant. Together with the project team, he helped launch initiatives to support domestic coffee cultivation and encourage more growers to produce coffee within Japan.
In 2023, he founded Equal Coffee, bringing together decades of experience in music, travel, entrepreneurship, consulting, and coffee.
Today, Daichi continues to travel the world in search of exceptional coffee equipment, innovative ideas, and inspiring people. Through Equal Coffee, his mission is to share products that elevate the coffee experience and connect coffee lovers across cultures.
